The Forest House

This truly striking contemporary new build is known locally as the Forest House, as christened by its Architect Declan McCabe of McCabe Architects. Set in beautiful woodland, the burnt larch exterior sets a beautful contrast of natural tones and hues. Whilst the exterior is especially stunning, the interior is truly inspiring as the kitchen ceiling rises to seven metres at the highest point.

This project was made even more enjoyable as it is the home of the La Maison Photographer Paul Doherty. Claire really enjoyed working with Paul and Brodie to bring the interior to life.

Interior finshes had to enhance the architectural design through a carefully curated colour palette in flooring, furniture and fabric choices. A rich aray of block hues and sumutuous velvets were chosen to create a striking contrast against crisp white walls, the gorgeous polished concrete floor and lots of natural wood patina. A matt black kicthen with copper ironmongery sets just the right scene. The all black bathroom and the yoga room are possibly our favourites, but why choose, when every room is so truly amazing!
