Elegant New Build

This beautiful new build was completed recently and we think you will agree, it is a very elegant home. Claire worked with our lovely Client from the earliest stages to ensure consistent, high quality interior finishes. From the kitchen and pantry joinery choices to the sanitaryware and utility choices, every detail was carefully chosen. We advised on the flooring, wooden and tile right down to the direction of the boards! The stunning herringbone flooring was sourced Floorit Letterkenny. Claire met with the Client every 4 to 6 weeks throughout the build to advise on ongoing decisions. By keeping us onboard throughout the build, the Client was confident of achieving the look she wanted.

You will notice the Client's colour scheme of navy, white and soft greys was brought through to the utility, hall and toilet. We did this deliberately to ensure consistency and flow, giving the homeowners a seamless scheme throughout the downstairs rooms which are used every day. You might also notice the raised washing machine and dryer in the utility. This higher placement of appliances is much more ergonomic and easier to work with. Attention to these details in the planning stages really pays off! We also share the gorgeous boot room style coat rack and seating, adorned with our beautiful DONEGAL cushion, available from our sister company WildAtlanticInteriors.com. Finally the fabulous tiles and sink unit really catch your eye in the bathroom, where classical styling was reinforced with the traditional radiator. Sanitaryware and tiles are from Gobal Tiles, Letterkenny.

For the Master Bedroom, our Client saw a similar bed in an Interior Design Magazine which was really expensive. Instead, we chose a beautiful divan bed and then had our upholsterer make the headboard from our design. We complimented the headboard with this delicate William Morris wallpaper from our collection. We used the same fabric on the footstool to complete this stunning bedroom set. Beautiful bedding and curtains complete the scheme.

We are regularly asked at what stage should a Client should bring us on board when building. Ideally, if we can meet once you have final draft plans, that is perfect timing. However, we are happy to meet after planning permission has been granted or when you begin your build.

“Thank you to Claire, Anne and all the team at La Maison Letterkenny for all their help throughout our self build project, from the initial planning stages right through to the final finishes. To all of you out there about to embark on a self build or renvation project, I would highly recommend booking a consultation from one of the La Maison Team. I was worried initially that it would cost a lot but it definetly did not, it actually turned out saving us money in the long run. I believe the advive and guidance I recieved from Claire was invaluable. I met Claire while my house was being built and I had a vision board of how I imagined my the house would look and what I would like in each room. From this Claire was able to define my style and advise how to achieve it, even recommending local tradesmen she works with to do the work. Claire is friendly, professional and extremely approachable. She is always on hand to anwswer any questions or solve many of the problems that arise during a self bulid, whether it’s what direction to lay the floor or which colour grout for tiles. Whether you are building, buying or renovating, I couldn’t recommend La Maison highly enough. All round top quality service from Claire, Anne and all the team.” - Clare
